Another Dark Night

A day in the morning

Is a day full of light

Everyone prepares for a happy dark night

I prepare for a battle and a sad lost fight

For when the day goes away and the dark comes around

I find the dreams in my mind beginning to mound

For they are not dreams of nice things, like apples and pears

These are terrible haunts that are worse than any night terror

I toss and I turn wishing and yearning

No more is this funny no more can be learning

So Ill take that offer from down deep in hell

Ill sell my life it already seems such a fail

This is just another dark night wasted waiting for the morning daylight

Hoping for that day when Ill wake up alright.

My heart went out to you as I read this. As beautiful a piece as this is, I can completely relate to you. I sometimes dread sleeping at night as well because I hate dreaming...they're never pleasant. Either way, good work on this piece; it was very enjoyable. As for my Dark Warrior story, thank you for the wonderful comment! There will be more to the story!

Yes I am no stranger to not sleeping. I have a sleep disorder known as Parasomnia that deals with having constant Night terrors which was the inspiration for this poem. Thanks for the comment I appreciate the support! Good luck with the rest of your story I look forward to it!

Stay Happy and True...Mylife
